Mediterranean Building
Stylized environment made in 1 month as a part of my second personal project assignment at Playground Squad. This was my first time making environment art, the goal was to get a stylized looking environment translating the concept art by Alariko, using the common pipelines for game production, while exploring new tools
Mediterranean Building
This is my second personal project, as a first year student in PlaygroundSquad and I had 1 month to finish it.
I wanted again a big challenge to push myself and grow. This time this challenge was making a Environment for the first time, using Unreal Engine.
I really like the wobbly architecture in Alariko's drawings, so I went for one of his concept arts.
Some of the big challenges were:
-Learning a whole new pipeline.
-Making the environment look like the concept art, while still being a playable game.
Some of the things that I learned this project were:
-Tiling and Trimming Textures pipeline with Z-brush and 3D Substance Painter, a surprisingly fast way of getting textures done with complete control of what I want.
-Working with master materials and creating useful tools in Unreal 5.
-Post Processing Shader materials for Unreal 5.
-Post processing settings for Unreal 5
-Nanite Displacement, working with height maps.
Original concept art by Alariko

Thanks for the time!
