Wasteland è ciò che resta di Wonderland. Il noto libro di Carrol si concludeva con un fosco avviso: "il futuro sarà nero", così è stato. Il visitatore che entra in Wastedland sarà una nuova Alice che deve prendere atto di un universo non a misura d’uomo. Alice non sa più chi è, non lo ha mai saputo ma nel groviglio della natura poteva mutarsi.

Ora tutto è statico, il tempo si è fermato, attorno a lei restano solo macerie. *LAND è una fuga dalla realtà per tornarci più consapevoli. Il mondo di Carrol è collassato nell'ecomostro di Movie Park, un enorme centrocommerciale ora discarica.

Ci ricorda che continuando a vivere così, in una crescita sfrenata questo è il futuro che ci aspetta. L'esploratore potrà abbandonarsi allo spazio alieno o seguire le tracce del Fosconiglio. Wasteland vuole essere un memorandum che in un mondo che rischia il collasso è l’animale umano quello che sparisce: il resto della natura e delle sue creature si ricalibrano. Perciò l’essere umano se non abbraccia la sua essenza di mutevole natura è destinata all’estinzione e alle macerie.

Eng: Wasteland is what remains of Wonderland. Carroll's well-known book ended with a grim warning: "the future will be dark," and so it has been. The visitor who enters Wasteland will be a new Alice who must come to terms with a universe not made for humans. Alice no longer knows who she is; she never did, but in the tangle of nature, she could change.

Now everything is static, time has stopped, and only rubble remains around her. *LAND is an escape from reality to return more aware. Carroll's world has collapsed into the ecomonster of Movie Park, a huge shopping mall now a landfill.

It reminds us that continuing to live like this, in unchecked growth, this is the future that awaits us. The explorer can surrender to the alien space or follow the traces of the Dark Rabbit. Wasteland aims to be a memorandum that in a world at risk of collapse, it is the human animal that disappears: the rest of nature and its creatures recalibrate. Therefore, if humans do not embrace their essence of changeable nature, they are doomed to extinction and rubble.
