For this week's wristwatch challenge, I decided to do something based on the Nomos Tangente, a watch that my Grandfather frequently talks about.

This week's challenge was a wristwatch, and my Grandfather loves to talk about the Nomos Tangente, and it seemed doable, so I gave it a shot. I challenged myself to use Maya as much as possible, and I learned quite a bit in this excercise, but I could not get some tools to do as I wanted, so I cleaned it up with Blender. I then took it to substance painter, and I gave it a texture, I'm quite happy with the leather texture, but struggled with the watch face some, as I was running out of time, and I could not make a clean design. My original plan was to record an animation in Unreal Engine 4 with the hands moving, but issues with the texturing and time limitations prevented that. Ultimately, I'm happy with the result, and I do intend to fix the texture on the face itself.

Since Friday, I redid some of the materials and reduced the geometry, shown in the first few renders, then are the original renders.
