Ok! I have to admit that I wasn't very productive for the past two weeks. I have been learning procedural workflow but that's no excuse.

Now I just have to hurry and try to finish it before Jan 6th.

I'll texture the whole scene as soon as I finish the wooden desk and boxes, and I'll be using Mari to do the work.

I added some hand grenades and knuckles this weekend. I can't wait to texture them with Mari and Substance painter!!!

The topology is quite poor on some props but since the goal is to create a concept render, it's not much of a big problem.

                                                                           MODELING UPDATES

Modeling a Mauser C96 is not an easy job, especially for a guy who knows nothing about guns like me. But I manage to solve the problems by using boolean nodes, and still had a lot of fun during the process!

By the way, I am gonna use octane to do the rendering, not quite understand how it works yet, but really enjoy the fast rendering speed.

I'm planning to make a still life scene using 3D software, the scene is set at some gangster's ammo room when he was young. And that guy turns out to be your grandfather!!!  How cool is that!

The date is set after 1919 January 31th,  after the bloody Friday in Glasgow. So, maybe I'll add some personal props or newspapers in this scene.
