Update - 23 Feb 2023

This will be my final render and my submission to this contest. I created a park environment covered in grass and trees. I made a running pose of RIG.B holding a ball and rendered it with motion blur and depth of field.

Update - 22 Feb 2023

I made a test render for the model and started on finding the right poses.

Update - 21 Feb 2023

Finished up on the details, such as bumps and scratches, and all other things that makes RIG.B look old and dirty. I also played with the Ambient Occlusion and the Curvature a bit to improve the look of the textures. I also made some adjustments to the Roughness and Metallic to get a realistic reflection of the metals. Lastly, I used a grunge dirt map on the entire model and played with the roughness, so that it looks like it's being rained on.

Update - 20 Feb 2023

To begin with, my concept for RIG.B is an old rundown robot struggling to compete in a game of rugby. I used references of robots from Transformers, especially Bumblebee, and also references of Metroid Samus. The first time I saw the model, I immediately thought that it looks like a rugby player, so I gathered references of NFL uniforms and helmets to make RIG.B look the part.

For the color scheme, I referenced it from NFL's Cincinnati Bengals which is orange and black. I tried different color schemes but the ones that work best were orange and black. I've completed the base color and decals and from there, I'll develop scratches, dirt, and a little bit of curvature to improve the realism of the model.
