Hello, my name is Daniil Shashenkov and I'm happy to share my latest projects. I worked on them throughout this year as a 2nd-year student at Digital Arts and Entertainment University.  Enjoy! 


Dagon Station

real-time sci-fi modular environment

The goal of this project was to create a fully optimized game environment that utilized modular assets and trim textures as much as possible. 

It was a lot of fun going through all the stages of making a big environment in unreal engine 4. From blockout and concept to making modular meshes, to working on real-time lighting and materials.

Warsaw Apartment

In this project, I was working with baked lighting and experimenting with materials in Substance Designer. The end goal was achieving a photorealistic result in ue4

The scene is based on a real-life apartment in Warsaw. The entire room and furniture were modeled in 3ds max and brought in unreal engine 4. I used ray traced baked lighting and reflections to come as close to a picture as possible.
