This is a character I created over about two weeks for my demo reel. I'll explain a bit about how I made it. I hope you like it!
LIGHTING SCENARIOS
I created quite a few experimental lighting scenarios for the character to try out different styles and give it a cyberpunk look. It was a lot of fun, but I still feel like the neutral light shots are the strongest ones.
EARLY CLAY RENDERS
THE PANTS
I created the base for the pants in Marvelous Designer. At first, I struggled to understand how these types of pants are made in the real world, so I asked my fashion designer friend, Sophia Ross, for help. After that, I went into ZBrush to add some minor details, then used Substance Painter for most of the detailing and texturing. I wanted the pants to look like prison pants but with a sci-fi touch to match the character.
FLASHLIGHT
Here's the flashlight I made as a supporting asset for the character. It's been a while since I did any hard surface modeling, so I really enjoyed the process. I even created the inside of the flashlight in full detail.
