don't lose ur head over it - 3D animated short film

"don't lose your head over it" is an introspective journey and a contemporary meditation at the intersection of Punjabi (Heer Ranjha) and Georgian (Tsikara) folklore.

This short film blends 3D animation with the storytelling traditions of Punjabi and Georgian cultures to explore the profound journey of self-discovery. This project follows the protagonist, Soni, on his quest to find his lost pair of glasses, which serves as a metaphor for his deeper exploration into the realms of identity and imagination. The film is a visual and auditory journey that blends cultural narratives with advanced technological tools to explore universal themes of identity, imagination, and the quest for understanding oneself.

Made by Bazeed Shahzad and Giorgi Chikvaidze as part of our senior integrative project at the Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology.

Software Used: Unreal Engine 5, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop, MotionBuilder, Davinci Resolve, Ableton.
