Round of applause for our sponsors

Continuing with the master's content, another exercise involved creating your own master material. This material had to be multipurpose, meaning that by applying certain textures, you could use it to emulate wood, fabric, stone, or a metallic finish (among many others) without making significant changes.

In this way, with very few master materials and many instances of these where textures and parameters are changed, a wide variety of materials can be achieved.

After beginning to understand the workings of nodes, parameters, values, etc., it was time to get creative with the materials.

Furthermore, this exercise not only served to learn how to create the materials but also to understand how materials created by others might work, and even how to modify and adapt them to our own needs.

My greatest satisfaction was that after delving into the process of material creation and understanding their internal mechanisms, I managed to create an emissive material that allowed temperature regulation. In other words, you could apply this material to a light bulb and make the temperature match the one being used in the light beam that illuminates a specific area of the project (since we have confirmed that emissive materials are not suitable for actual lighting).
