Round of applause for our sponsors

I was very much into fashion culture in high school. It was fashion design that led me to the door of creative production. Through my college studies, I realized that my creativity should not be limited to fashion alone. So I chose to major in game design. Because the world of games is free, you can show your creativity without any limitations.

When I was a child

When I finished my first game

It happened after my first year of Computer science where I was not happy with the direction the degree would take me. I realized what I was looking for was VFX when I watched VFX artists react on Corridor Digital and I never looked back. Website: https://andrewdeaver.net

When I was young, I rewatched the behind the scenes for “Finding Nemo” religiously and loved learning the breakdown of how things are created.

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative industries when I was a child, always lost in drawing, painting, and imagining stories. My passion for art was clear early on. I found immense joy and fulfillment in creating, and I was fascinated by the power of art to evoke emotions and tell stories. As I grew older, this passion only intensified, and I knew I wanted to turn my love for art into a career. The creative industries offer a unique blend of challenge and inspiration, allowing me to

When I was 14 and saw Transformers Prime.

As a child I am always mesmerize by the 3D animated movies such as the Toy Story franchise, Bug’s Life and many more but how does animators achieve this the natural movements of characters and what are trainings an animator must go through to achieve this level of animation and so I started my journey to understand further this path that I have chosen.

As a child I was always lost in my world of creative imagination. And to pursue that as a career followed so growing up.

13 years old! I always knew, but that was the age I found out it was an actual career path.

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative field when I was doing some doodles after a quiz in 7th grade and one of my friends looks at it and says, “dude you’re really good at that, you should totally do art full time!”

I always knew I had a love for the arts since I was in gradeschool; but I found my love for 3D technical animation when I was exploring a wide range of classes my freshman year at SCAD. I then kept refining my skills and fell in love with the crafts even more with every class. I now specialize in prop and character modeling, and can create fully functioning environments with visually appealing lighting and interesting compositions.

As a kid I did a lot of art in my free time and eventually started to make content online. From there, I decided to aim for an art college to learn 3D animation and get resources with the school.

I’ve wanted to be an artist since I was a child, but I really decided on animation when I was around 15. I’ve been doing my best to achieve that goal ever since.

Ever since I was little I have always enjoyed engaging with creativity, however, it was not until I got to college that I truly started looking at creative industries and game development. When I first went to college I wanted to get a "practical" degree in Computer Science but it was not where my passion was. I have always enjoyed video games and getting to create them would be a dream come true.

I realized I wanted to work in the creative industry when I started playing video games back in middle school. It was until I took programming classes in high school that I realized I wanted to program games. Playing video games with friends were some of the best moments in my life and some I eventually met in person after playing together online as strangers for 7 years.

I was working as an EMT and pursing firefighting and I loved the people I worked with and the fulfillment of helping people but ultimately I had taken this path as a safe option. I have been a painter and comics enthusiast for a long time and I decided to go for an art career feeling like I would otherwise regret not doing so. Finally, I got into game art as a way to merge financial opportunities with my desire for an art career. I am also quite a fan of stylized indie games.

Right after highschool, recognized by my teacher.

I realized I need to work in this job when I first rendered out my 3D piece. I fell in love with this magical virtual space.

During my time studying Bachelor of Architecture, I considered creativity as a huge part of being pioneer and successful in the industry

Since I had first put together a PC on the floor of my room at a young age, I have had a fervent passion for game development and I have a great deal of respect for video games as an art form. As I began to apply myself in small Game Jams in high school and collaborate with others, I fell in love with design and programming and I have continued down this path ever since.
