As i learned about how movies were made

Animation production, make heart-warming films

After I graduated high school I took a year off of from college to "think" about what I wanted to do, and for the entire year I couldn't think of anything I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. At the time I didn't think that being an artist was a profession you could live off of, but when I had nothing else I could see myself doing. That's when I realized the world of arts (and animation for me specifically) is much bigger than I had thought. So I buckled down and committed to it.

Ever since I was a kid, I always knew I wanted to go into the animation industry.

During my high school, I started to want to work in the animation industry.

I first realized that I wanted to work in the creative field when I visited Disney World in first grade. I saw the artist’s workstations covered in figures and plushies and asked, “you can have fun at work?” Since then, I’ve looked at every piece of media I’ve consumed from an artists perspective. One of my biggest inspirations to work in animation was playing Epic Mickey as a kid and seeing all of the unique ways that the characters were depicted.

I went to a design-centered high school, but I didn't realize how special a creative job could be until I got out of my bubble in college and started making things with my hands.

I realized I wanted to work in creative industries through a series of experiences. As a child, I loved storytelling, and in school, I thrived in English and art classes. High school drama club involvement deepened my passion, and a college internship at a publishing house was pivotal. Despite studying a conventional subject in college, my heart was in creative pursuits. After graduation, I faced a choice: a safe career or a fulfilling creative path. Choosing the latterultimately finding joy.

Currently perusing my MA Motion media from SCAD. I would say the time back to 2020 when I had my FBA studies.

Since childhood, I have been exposed to computer games, video games, art performances, and animation. When I was first struck by character depictions and illustrations, I realized I wanted to work in the creative industries.
