My projects of this year
Hi everyone! Today, I'm glad to share with you a summary of the projects I did this year, during my third year at ESMA Nantes. I really hope you'll enjoy them!
Self Portait
This project involved the creation of my first digital human, a full self-portrait : From a rough photogrammetry 3D scan to sculpting in ZBrush, followed by retopology and UV mapping in Maya, texturing color and micro-detail maps in Mari, and grooming hair and fur in XGen Core.
The main goal was to create a digital portrait as close as possible to my real self, which involved spending a lot of time on important details such as volume and proportions, as well as steps like sculpting XGen guides to reproduce my curly hair as accurately as possible.
It was a complex project, but it allowed me to learn a lot about technical aspects for realism in CG!

Mad Max Vehicle
Third-year school project involving the complete design, modeling, texturing using Mari, and shading of a vehicle inspired by the universe of a film of my choice. I opted to create a massive gasoline-carrying car reminiscent of vehicles in 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' one of my favorite movies.
The ultimate goal was to showcase the project in a showroom-like video. To achieve this, I drew inspiration from the latest 'Mad Max: Furiosa' trailer, particularly in terms of environment and color grading for the compositing in Nuke.
