Welcome

Below, you will see my contribution to Rookies of the Year. I created these images over the past nine months as an Architectural Visualization student at Yrgo. Urban Architecture

Our last project was a collaboration with the London-based company Millerhare.

Each of us was assigned an area to recreate. I was given Granary Square, Kings Cross, London.

Brief from Millerhare:

"We would like you to create two descriptive views of the location/building, captured from the same vantage point, plus a detailed 'vignette' view. For the descriptive view, the viewpoint should offer a comprehensive perspective of the location/building, capturing its essence and integration within its surroundings."

We received completely white old models of the buildings, so lots of cleanup and some remodeling were necessary.

I chose to make Central St. Martins School of Art the focal point in the descriptive views. For the vignette, I aimed to capture the lifestyle and various activities available in the Square. Here are my three final images:

Project length, about 3 weeks.

Software: 3Ds Max, RailClone, Corona and Photoshop

Matte Painting

Brief: Generate a building in an AI tool and then use matte painting techniques and photos to make the building more realistic, adding an environment composed entirely of photo elements.

I was assigned to create a museum in the mountains, this is my attempt.

Project length 1 week.

Software: Photoshop, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly

Modeling

Brief: Polymodel a chair completely from scratch and texture without any finished downloaded textures or plugins. Make studio images and also a selling advertisement image.

This is my attempt at modeling and texturing The Wire Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames. I choose to model the variant DKW-2 with a black leather seat and back padding in combination with dark maple wooden legs.

Project length 2 weeks.

Software: 3Ds Max, Corona and Photoshop

The Villa

Brief: Present a concept and moodboard, then create a villa according to authentic blueprints. Demand of both an overview image and a detail image.

Project length 2 weeks.

Software: 3Ds Max, V-ray, ForestPack, RailClone and Photoshop

The Hotel

Brief: Group project. Compose a hotel concept for an assigned location, Cartagena, Colombia. Create an individual image that looks cohesive with the rest of the group's images.

I chose to do a Rooftop Terrace Pool Area, here's my attempt.

Project length 2 weeks.

Software: 3Ds Max, Corona and Photoshop

The Renovation Project

Brief: Showcase a proposition for a property makeover, E-styling. Create visualizations inspired by real estate photographers. I chose this little starter house that would be perfect for a newly started family.

Project length 2 weeks.

Software: 3Ds Max, Corona and Photoshop
