Hi There!

I am Kexin (Cassie) Liu, a motion designer and illustrator recently pursuing a dual major in Motion Media and illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design. I specialize in illustration-style work and am trying and challenging other media, such as cinematography and projection, during SCAD. I enjoy incorporating metaphors into my work. At the same time, I prefer to make designs that resonate with the audience, and these resonances are more life-oriented and niche.

Title Sequence for Fortress Besieged

Concept Statement

This project is a title sequence for Qian Zhongshu's book Fortress Besieged. It follows the chronological order of the book's development and presents the fortress besieged that Fang Hongjian faces in his life: first marriage, education, career, love, and second marriage.

Concept Statement

Night Lights is a Sky Lantern Festival that brings families, friends, and communities together for a magical experience. This video aims to raise awareness of this event and make people feel that Night Lights is more unique, warm, and shocking than other skylight festivals.

Concept Statement

Holiland Pet is a brand-new pet baking brand under Holiland, a premier Chinese bakery chain known for its exquisite selection of cakes, breads, and pastries. Holiland Pet adheres to the brand proposition of "Designed for Love," uses good ingredients and additive-free pure formulas, creates pet-oriented birthday ceremonies, and is committed to participating in and witnessing every beautiful moment for people and pets. This video introduces the brand from the perspective of food safety, i.e., pet health, and from the perspective that there are many picking possibilities for pets.

Title Sequence for the Film Coherence

This is the title sequence for the movie Coherence. The project uses different glass spheres to represent each character in the movie, with multiple spaces and characters exchanging and confusing each other, suggesting the direction of the movie's plot and ending.
