The Negotiator

FPS Sci- fi game where you play as an intergalactic negotiator that uses handcanons as primary means of negotiations.

Our gameplay reference was "Roboquest" because the movement feelt really snappy and responsive aswell as feeling a bit more arcade.

We wanted to scope our game to be a bit more simple and thus we though cellshade graphics was perfect for us! 
Our reference for cellshaders and colors was "Chants of seenaar"

The Negotiator had an 50% production timeline from 2024-01-02 until 2024-02-07, after that we went 100% production time until deadline 2024-04-10.

Our custom game engine we named Fraktal Oktav.
Built and maintained using Visual Studio 22 C++

Our game engine uses:
DirectX11 - for graphic.
PhysX - for physics simulation and collision detection.
FMOD - for all SFX and Music
ImGui - for user interafce while creating the game.

We only had one dependency on Unity for level designing but then we exported the levels created in Unity to our game engine. 
The reason was that we never created an level editor until the end of the project for our next and last project after The Negotiator.
