Video game creation project : Dwarf's Deep

This project is an RPG-style game, drawing inspiration from iconic titles like Skyrim and Elden Ring. As a solo developer, the scale of this project is ambitious, but it serves as an excellent opportunity to learn Unreal Engine 5 and explore its capabilities through practical application in my game.

I've coded the game using Unreal Engine's Blueprints, focusing extensively on blueprint coding and level design. The assets employed were sourced from the internet, Quixel Bridge, and the Unreal Marketplace, supplemented by some of my own creations, including textures and assets made using Blender.

The game includes a wide range of features, such as a main menu, character creation, a player character with seven stats that influence various damage types, health, mana, and stamina. It includes a leveling system, player UI, inventory system, stat upgrade system UI, and interfaces for loading, saving, and quitting the game. Players can choose from five different weapons—sword and shield, katana, bow, magic, and a healing orb—each with its own upgrades. There are also various armor types with upgrades, an open world with plains, forest, mountains, and desert biomes with dungeons and a main town, a quest system UI, multiple monster types, many interactable objects, consumables, and a crafting system. I haven't implemented any kind of sound effects or music yet.

Shows the world I have created so far. The Goblin Cave is the 100% completed level I have so far the rest is a work in progress. Looking to add things to the desert and make several new biomes/levels/dungeons.

This video is set in the Testing Area of my game Dwarf's Deep. The video demonstrates the 3 enemy types and their attacks(movement is disabled for testing), then goes through all the players weapons(Sword and sheild, katana, longbow, fire magic, and healing orb) and their attacks, then shows all the different kind of interactables including; 8 ores, 8 plants/materials, 7 potions, a chest with random loot, a key, 3 statues for quests, and 5 crafting stations(work in progress), and shows the inventory/stat screen.

Goes through all the quests, gets most of the interactables, and kills most of the enemy's. Starts at the Goblin cave, which is the completed level I have so far. Heads to the Town after and talks to the main NPC. Then goes to the forest area(not completed yet so a bit buggy), heads back to town and that's where the quest ends for now. 

All this shows is the main character blueprint, just so people can see the large amount of coding done in the game. This is around only about a fourth of the total code.
