Round of applause for our sponsors

Welcome to my entry for the rookies. Here, I will showcase the variety of skills I have acquired over the past few years, including VFX compositing, 3D modeling, texturing, and much more.

Compositing Reel

First, as a current VFX compositing artist, I want to start by sharing my compositing demo reel. This reel showcases the culmination of my skills and creativity developed over two years at school. I'm excited to present a collection of projects that represent the incredible journey of learning and growth I've experienced in the world of compositing

Minerva

One of the projects I'm most proud of is the "Minerva" project, which I completed in my second year of compositing. For this project, we needed to integrate space elements into a live-action plate. It was a truly rewarding experience to create a futuristic space scene from scratch, handling all aspects from layout and lighting to compositing and color grading, to achieve an engaging final composition.

Arcane inspired still life

Another project I'm really proud of is my Arcane-inspired still life. Based on the well-known video game League of Legends and the series Arcane, I aimed to model a still life painting inspired by its composition and lighting, but replaced the scene with handmade Jinx's assets. This is a full render I created myself. I had a lot of fun working on all aspects of this project, but what I enjoyed the most was probably the modeling and texturing as well as AOV compositing.

Buda

In this project, I decided to mix up the pipeline a bit by using multiple software tools to create a compelling end result.

I started by doing the simulation in Houdini, created the layout in Maya, imported the particles using Bifrost, rendered it using Arnold, and finally did the compositing and color correction in Nuke and DaVinci Resolve. I agree that it's definitely not the easiest way to create a pipeline, but I have to admit that I really had a lot of fun doing it.
