Round of applause for our sponsors

Hi there!

I'm excited to share some of the recent projects I did in the field of digital fashion design and 3D product visualization. Over the past year, I've invested significant time and effort into enhancing my creative process with new tools and technologies, particularly 3D and AI. As a designer with a background in physical fashion design, incorporating 3D software has greatly improved my efficiency, creativity, and innovation.
To me, the best way to keep the creative soul alive is continuous LEARNING, consistent CREATION, and a cycle of REFINEMENT.

Here are a few of my explorations in this journey. I hope you enjoy them!

PROJECT 01 |
GISOU REIMAGINED

[Revitalizing an old bag I designed & created back in 2017 in my leathercrafts studio into a new 3D concept with a twist of futuristic materials]

[Year: 2023    3D concept - Old Design Recreated     Software: Clo3D, Blender, Photoshop]

The original Gisou leather bag came to life in my small leathercraft studio - Barisham - back in 2017. It served as a tribute to the rich heritage and artistry intrinsic in the world of leather goods, with its intricate hand-braided accents. Inspired by the Persian word 'gisou,' meaning the allure of beautiful and flowing hair, the bag's name reflects the essence of these woven details.

GISOU REIMAGINED is a transformative recreation of the original design in 3D with a futuristic twist of materials. The outcome speaks of my profound passion for connecting heritage with innovation. It's a fusion of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, brought together through 456 digital stitches to replicate braiding and 240 thread pieces exactly as in the physical process where the waxed threads were manually passed through punched holes 456 times.

PROCESS

I started off by drafting the bag patterns in clo3D and carefully modeling the base making sure to replicate the physical piece accurately. Next, I added trims and meticulously crafted a digital replica of braided stripes through hundreds of digital stitches and thread pieces. Finally, I brought the bag to Blender to enhance it with an extra touch of modelling refinement like colored edges and a new futuristic texturing and rendered the final visuals. All textures and materials were created using both procedural and PBR texturing methods.

PROJECT 02 |
DUNES OF MARS

New color play imagined (Concept) for:
OAKLEY FACTORY TEAM FLESH x BRAIN DEAD SNEAKERS

DISCLAIMER: [This creative project is for personal R&D use only and is not endorsed or affiliated with any mentioned brand.]

This project started as a personal exploration to find an efficient workflow for my 3D footwear creations. It led me to experiment with a combination of Clo3D for upper parts pattern drafting and iteration and Blender for the shoe's last, sole design, detailed modeling refinement, texturing, and rendering. Captivated by the collaboration between OAKLEY FACTORY TEAM FLESH and BRAIN DEAD in reimagining the original Flesh, and in love with its running lines and wavy curves, I opted to recreate it digitally envisioning it with a new color play in a Mars-inspired ambiance.

[Year: 2023     Personal R&D Project- Concept      Software: Clo3D, Blender, Photoshop]

Continuing the exploration, I took the project a step further by crafting a complete 3D scene featuring an avatar wearing the Oakley slip-ons. The scene is created using both softwares for clothing pattern creation and sewing, avatar posing, as well as texturing and rendering.

PROCESS

To capture the technical intricacies of the sneakers, I analyzed the physical Oakley Flesh, dissecting its various components for accurate 3D modeling and realistic collision. From conceptualizing the color mood to the 3D development, these behind-the-scenes images offer a glimpse of the entire project.

Some BTS from the upper recreation process in Clo3D, based on a shoe last created in Blender and imported to the Clo3D environment. After creating the upper, I assembled the upper and sole in Blender and registered the whole footwear as shoes in Clo3D. This way I was able to rig the avatar and update the avatar posture for the editorial renders.

PROJECT 03 |
BRIETTA MULES

[3D RECREATION OF M I I S T A FOOTWEAR]

DISCLAIMER: [This creative project is for personal R&D use only, and is not endorsed or affiliated with any mentioned brand.]

This project captures one of my early experiments in 3D footwear design. As I embarked on a journey to capture the craftsmanship inherent in the footwear industry and closely replicate it through 3D design, the fashion-forward Miista mules marked my first step in this venture. I tried to not only create high details to reach the boundaries of reality, but also create an ethereal ambiance using gradients and metalic iridescent material.

WORKFLOW

Footwear 3D design, for me, goes beyond creating stunning renders and hyperrealistic details. I actively engage my technical knowledge to carefully analyze the technical development process and structural intricacies of shoes. When modeling pre-designed footwear, the design flow transforms into a form of reverse engineering—a thoughtful process of unraveling and reconstructing to capture the essence of the original design.

Thanks for checking out my projects! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed creating them. My hope is that they serve as inspiration for anyone looking to embark on the exciting journey of merging 3D art with the world of fashion.

Let's keep pushing boundaries together!
