Marta Suarez - Concept Art Entry
Hello! My name's Marta, and these are some of the projects I've done at U-tad this year while studying concept art. I chose what I think that are my best works of the year, where I show how much I learned, and how passionate I'm about learning and getting better at it, hope you like my stuff as well!
Isometric view of my bedroom I did for my environment class. This project was a challenge, since it was my first 3D project ever. I did a very rough skecth, and then tried to model it on blender. I had to do a lot of research to learn how to do some of the furniture and finish the project on time. I modeled everything, except for the plushies, the figurines, the bag, and the curtain.
A japanese environment for my 3D concept art class. For this project I had to do a keyframe on unreal of whatever I wanted. It was a challenge for me since I had to do a lot of composition and lightning research and changes to get the final result. I also couldn't use unreal for technical reasons, so I had to do everything on blender, plus photoshop for some editing and overpaint. All the 3D models are from the blender kit.
Character designs I did for my anatomy and character design class. For these projects I wanted to do characters that showed off their body so I could practice the anatomy part more, especially male anatomy since I always found drawing male characters more difficult. I also wanted to try out mixing human and animal anatomy!
Creature for my zbrush class. I had to design a new sea creature, so between all the ideas I had, I chose the one where I mixed a narwal, a crab and a whale. Then I had to sculpt it on zbrush. This was my first time ever sculpting on this program, (and in general), so it took a lot of trial and error to make it look decent, I repeated this project plenty of times. I also did the polypaint on zbrush, and after rendering it, I did overpaint and some photobash on photoshop for a better result.
