Hello, my name is Riya and I am 22 years old. I come from Mumbai in India and I love 3D. I started doing 3D about 1.5 year ago. Here is my work in product design which is a category I particularly like. Nevertheless, I would like to work in the future in video games as a props artist or environment artist.

Here is the final rendering of my animation on a Bell & Ross  watch.Being a watch lover and a fan of BELL & ROSS models,I decided to reproduce an iconic model BR 05 Chrono Blue Steel 42 mm. I was able to test my skills in Modeling / Texturing 3D. I found the shapes very interesting.Moreover, the big challenge was to create accurate parts of the watch.So I had to inform myself as much as possible through video reviews, photos, or even through the Bell & Ross website.This project was created in parallel with my studies in 3D. I took about 1.5 month to finalize it, with a total of 43 hours of rendering for 879 frames. I used Maya, Substance 3d Painter, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Here I made some tests to highlight my light. I wanted to give a divine side to the watch . 

In addition, I wanted to show the textures of the dial. These textures were made on substances Painter with Alpha map on fill layers. So I had to create my own alpha map on photoshop with the help of photos and videos I had of the watch. 

I also want to add the close ups shots of detailing

In my creation process, I had to make several pre-rendering to realize the errors of textures, or to correct the mesh of the watch. This process helped me a lot in terms of production time, but also to perfect my work.

The big challenge here was to make all the shapes of the watch while keeping a clean and optimized mesh. My mesh does not contain any N-gons and is made of Quads. Also, while modeling, I created this watch in a non-destructive way. Thus, all changes made were quick and efficient. I only had to apply my modifications for my UV unfolding. This one was done by hand.

This is the end of my Product Design project, the best part of making this project was it made me improve my skills and strengthen them. Nevertheless to say, I keep on improving and learning everyday.
