We are Machanguito games and we present you our game: Scarehain

Scarehain is a 2d card game which takes place in Celtic Ireland. According to old Irish folklore, the winter season was welcomed by Samhain, a three-day festival where the barrier between the spirit world and the land of the living was opened. Your brother, Farrel, had his soul stolen by monsters on the first day and it is up to you to go on a quest to the underworld to take it back.

Play as young Deidre, who is challenged to a game of cards by the Queen of winter, Cailleach. Defeat monsters from Celtic folklore and create strategies to survive. To do so you must guide your brother, whose soul has been trapped in a card, to safety.

Scarehain has been a passion project for the three of us, Alejandra and Iballa have created the game and done all the art and Mateo has done the programming. Whilst it has been challenging making scarehain whilst juggling university and another project that we are collaborating with we are happy with the result and look forward to keep working on it.
