Happy Ending

This is a first year student collaborative film from School of Visual Arts BFA Animation major under the guidance of Professor Frank Gresham. Developed, scripted, designed, storyboarded, animated, and composited entirely by Amelia Davis, Sammi Martinez, Xinya Fan, and Xiaofu Zhu. Being the first time to work through an entire pipeline, this was an amazing new experience!

Each of us created a character to begin with, and adjusted them to fit to the story of our film. To begin with, we each proposed a couple ideas and pop corned off to round them off to a place we liked. Having to work through script and thumbnail boards together, we were very in sync as to what decisions were made. Coming into the production pipeline, all the works are divided so each of us boarded, animated and composited around 1/4 of the film. Amelia was able to make 2 3D renders for our moving and rotation scene as background, while Sammi taught us the concept of our compositing style. 

The music made through commission by Johnny and Yifei from Cloudroad Music, and all sound effects are collected from Westar music and mixed by ourselves.
