An Absurdist Time Traveling Detective Game

A mysterious mansion and its inhabitants now lie in rubble after an equally mysterious explosion left it in disarray. You are a detective, sent here to investigate the possibility of foul play, and step in only to find a letter in your handwriting and a pocket watch capable of allowing you to time travel. Equipped you now seek answers behind the explosion, the mansion with hidden dark secrets beyond mortal comprehension, and how a letter written by you was here in the first place.

Immerse yourself in an interactive mystery game inspired by classic detective stories of the 19th century, living houses and the works of MC Escher

Devotion of Escher is a mystery game set in the 1900’s. Use a mysterious time traveling watch to meet the Eschers and participating in their annual festival. Solve puzzles, collect clues, and navigate the house to get to the bottom of the mystery.

In Devotion of Escher the player can interact with items and notes in the environment. When they do, they will add the information into the Notebook. Players can use the notebook to review information and solve puzzles, just like a real detective!

Watch our Detective's full journey down below in this 45 minute playthrough:

The House in Devotion of Escher is its own character that evolves and changes its architecture throughout the story. It was important to us that each room was unique on each day our Detective time travels through.

What would a house that knows it's own doom look like?

In Devotion of Escher, all character designs have been influenced by their individual wishes and backstories. This allowed our concept artists to explore interesting and strange designs to complement the characters' absurdist roles in the game's mysterious narrative.
