Kingdom (2019), <Ji-Yul-Heon>

A place where it all begins, 'Jiyulheon', the origin of the plague that drives the narrative of the zombie mystery period drama <Kingdom>. The pharmacy Jiyulheon, which embraced the young and sick people of Dongnae(Ancient Busan, South Korea), has transformed into a horrifying blood-stained place as if it were a cage for beasts. The starving people ate the infected corpses, and eventually, they too became infected by the plague, turning into zombies. Jiyulheon became a living hell.

It was an enjoyable scene to explore its mood and direction. Broken, shattered, and clashed edges and bloodied textures of models met natural light at noon and made typical daylight but cold and creepy.

Being a mystery thriller genre, the lighting conditions and environment intriguingly presented questions to the audience while subtly conveying ambiguous foreshadowing through the captivating lighting work.

I decided to make this scene TOF(Time of Day) to show how a dead body turns into a zombie at night.
