NOU LIBERTÉ

NOU LIBERTÉ means our freedom and is a collection that stands as a homage to the abolition of slavery in Mauritius, a pivotal moment in history that ignited the flames of freedom and reshaped the cultural landscape forever. 

Throughout the design process, I did a styling workshop using different garments and fabrics to create shapes and silhouettes. I then moved on to working digitally, using Gerber Accumark and Clo3D to develop patterns and garments, and worked with the Fit map and Stress map settings on Clo3D to ensure that the garments were perfect fits. Offering the opportunity to have digital garments ready to be manufactured physically. Do look a bit into the details, I personalised the buttons used as fastening with my name using Adobe Photoshop.

I used Adobe Illustrator to create the 2D CADs for each garment and Clo3D to render the final outfits.

Clo3D was used to create all the information needed for my technical portfolio. Such as the CADs, patterns, and lay plans of the different fabrics. Also, to calculate the grading of the garment.
