My first year of ArchViz
Hello! I'm Alice! I'm currently in my first year of studying Architectural Visualization at YRGO in Gothenburg. Here are some of the images I've created so far.
THE VILLA
Project length: 3 weeks
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, V-ray Render, Forest Pack, RailClone, Photoshop
This was my first time creating an exterior image. The brief was to model and texture a villa based on drawings provided by Alingsås Huspaket. The house was supposed to be placed somewhere in Scandinavia, and I thought that the archipelago of Sweden would be a good fit for this house. During this project, we were introduced to some new tools: V-Ray, RailClone, and Forest Pack.
THE CHAIR
Project length: 2 weeks
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, Corona Render, Photoshop
The brief was to model and texture an existing chair from scratch using images and drawings as a guide. Our task was to produce studio, detail, wireframe, and concept images for delivery. I chose the Marcel Chair by Shinsaku Miyamoto.
MATTE PAINTING
Project length: 1 week
Softwares used: Photoshop, Midjourney
The brief was to create a believable environment using Matte Painting and artificial intelligence. We were assigned a specific building type and landscape, and tasked with developing four proposals for the class to vote on. I was given a pavilion and a forest. Instead of building the house, the task was to generate it using an optional AI tool; I used Midjourney. Afterwards, we assembled photos, extracted elements, and compiled them into a new believable image.
RENOVATION
Project length: 2 weeks
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, Corona Render, Photoshop
The brief was to find a real estate ad for a home in need of renovation and create visualizations to show the home's potential, using photos and floor plans from the ad.
THE HOTEL
Project length: 3 weeks
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, Corona Render, Photoshop
This was our first group project. The brief was to come up with a hotel concept inspired by a particular location worldwide, ensuring to capture its culture and climate. My team was assigned the capital of Tunisia, Tunis, and I visualized one of the guest rooms.
URBAN ARCHITECTURE
Project length: 3 weeks
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, Corona Render, Forest Pack, Photoshop
The project was a collaboration with Millerhare, a visualization company based in London. During this project, we had the chance to work with one of their older projects, Kings Cross. The task was to create compelling images with a comprehensive perspective of the location, capturing its essence and integration within its surroundings. We were given rough 3D models, and us students worked on the overall concept, camera angles, lighting, and materials. I was assigned Granary Square.
PERSONAL PROJECT
Softwares used: 3Ds Max, Corona Render, Photoshop
Just an image of a kitchen I created in my spare time for fun.
