Round of applause for our sponsors

The existing Nest thermostat design falls short in promoting a positive ambiance, which can negatively affect employee satisfaction and well-being. As UX designers, we are leading a mock spinoff project to refresh the design with a warm and inviting aesthetic, specifically for office settings.

Our redesigned thermostat centers on employee well-being by simplifying temperature adjustments, accommodating personal preferences, encouraging teamwork, and allowing employees to personalize their ideal comfort settings. This approach aims to create a workplace where everyone feels appreciated and valued.

The current design of the Nest thermostat lacks features that contributeto a positive atmosphere, hindering employee satisfaction and well-being. As Google prepares to divest from the Nest Thermostat productline, our task as UX designers is to spearhead a spinoff, infusing therelaunch with a friendly and cheerful aesthetic tailored for officeenvironments.

The solution prioritizes employee well-being with an interface that upliftsmood. It eliminates guesswork in temperature control, understandsindividual preferences, fosters teamwork, and empowers employees tocustomize their optimal comfort, creating a workplace where everyonefeels valued.

Aims to reduce cognitiveload, streamline userexperience and avoidlocation uncertainty.
