My portfolio of architectural visualization

by camillagentili on 31 May 2024 for Rookie Awards 2024

Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting and checking out my work. Here, you will find what I have been creating while at Rainbow Academy School. I love creating and recreating immersive and detailed spaces in 3D, both indoors and outdoors. I hope you enjoy these environments!

These are the best works selected from the thesis project.

**All that you will see has been created by me from scratch, starting from the creation of 2D plans in Autocad, developing 3D spaces in 3ds Max, lighting, and final compositing. Some props were imported from the content browser of 3ds Max.**

Planar House.

Planar House is a radical exercise in horizontality aspect. Inserted in the highest point of the plot and favouring the existing topography, its presence is most strongly felt in the footprint rather than volumetrically. This is also the first project where I took care of both indoor and outdoor scenes, aiming to create a consistent mood across the proposed scenes.

The uniqueness of the project lies in the presence of wooden beams that wrap around the internal structure, alternating with exposed brick walls, and concrete ceilings and floors, also left exposed.

Resa San Mamés University Residence.

The project for Resa’s new student residence in Bilbao started with a clear definition to search for creative solutions that could adapt to a limited budget and hereby the involvement at the early construction phase of the building, selecting the fi nishes for the walls like the original bricks and concrete floors to avoid the installation of additional materials, next to the decision to maintain all the pipes visible.

Wood Wall.

The project is based on the design, starting from 2D modeling, of an interior architectural space in which the protagonist is a wooden wall. Specifically, the scene consists of the view of a living room, with wooden slabs in the background of the sofa, also dark in color, which contrast well with the green elements of the room, such as the background wall, painting and plant.

Interior design scene.

The project is based on the design of an interior architecture project that has textures as the protagonist and the different ways of applying the latter within the model, such as the brick wall, created starting from the use of the “displacement” command . Another peculiarity is the play of light, natural and artificial, which illuminates the scene in different ways.
