The World of Schiaparelli
A motion graphics creation based on the surreal and iconic world of the fashion house Schiaparelli. It includes illustrations of some of the pieces of jewelry, dresses and accessories that make the brand so captivating.
Elsa Schiaparelli's inventive imagination and revolutionary vision made her one of the most remarkable fashion creatives of the 20th century. She created legendary pieces alongside many iconic artists like Salvador Dalí and Man Ray.
Nowadays Schiaparelly is one of the most groundbreaking fashion houses, continuing Elsa's incredible heritage.
This Motion piece is a tribute to the surreal world that makes the brand so fascinating, filled with golden eyes and locks . It includes some of the most iconic pieces from the 1930s to the present day. It was illustrated with Ilustrator and animated with After Effetcs.
The process of researching and choosing the pieces made me appreciate more the amount of detail put on every single accessory. The brand is known for using the human body and ordinary objects, making them elevated art pieces.
I wanted to portray them accurately, and to maintain a cohesive style. The biggest challenge of the project was finding a balance between illustrating the objects realistic enough to be recognizable, but with an artistic style.
The music used for the project is a fragment of the Op. 66a, from the Ballet "The Sleeping Beauty", by Tchaikovsky.
