【Creative Process】:
🔸①Idle: Having a intriguing cover and contact information clip is important, and planning to use Idle pose animation set aside with my information to build up my demo reel's cover and introduction part.
🔸②Sprint: Try out some different idea, riding on a wolf, when doing 【Sprint】Animation_Sprinting
Entertainment is critical when I attempt to do something new and challenging. Planning Visual Effect to match the animation, and they work together well.
🔸③Three Hit Combo: The attack animation use to be done in place and then move placement control in the Game engine to fit the feeling of moving forward main control character.
I did Fast attack in 7-8 frames and Heavy attack in 12 frames
Every attack can be stopped, and return to idle pose
Effects are slower than character movements
A payoff after a character attack
2D effect and camera vibration can give some sense of power and lethality of using the mace while true players are playing this character in real game!
🔸④Shoot and Reload: Take the boombox ➕ speakers and combine them as the special shooting weapon I used.
The music notes then become bullets, and I change them by changing tapes.
Try to incorporate the reloading principle of guns into this boombox reloading with the right hands gesture interaction with barrel.
🔸⑤Walking: Adding visual effect in light and bright color to show how quick Sellsword slashes, and adding more intense weight shift and swing sword motion while character doing a simple walking cycle!
🔸⑥Running: A fast-paced run with holding a sword on Sellsword's back. Fast movements of arm swing, push to pose diagonal shape, and added a small 2D effect to show how quick Sellsword runs with dust flying.
🔸⑦Emote: Dance interaction with a falling umbrella since emote has the highest content flexibility. Offsetting the dance at the end and leaving a blank space on the screen left to add my contact information and match the cover at the beginning to finish my demo reel.
