SYNOPSIS
A pirate embarks on an exciting journey for an unexpected treasure hunt. Waking up in a tavern, after a night of indulgence, the pirate finds a map and a key under his hat, he decides to follow the instructions that seem to suggest a road to a colossal fortune.
CHARACTER DESIGN
This is our creative process for A Pirate Day character design. For the protagonist our final goal was to create a grumpy, clumsy and lovable character, we used round shapes for his appereance. He was designed by Chiara Ciarapica, she was inspired by Aladdin's Sultan. A pirate worthy of his name must befriend a parrot, costant companion in all his daring adventures. The parrot was designed by Lorena Muccifora. Into a world of adventures you can find a lot of friends. Other pirates' character design are designed by Eliana De Bellis.
ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
Our hero would go across any land or sea to accomplish his target. The backgrounds are designed by Andromeda Pintus, Manuela Stacca, Emma Giuffrida and Cristiana Vasquez. The intent was to create the right atmosphere for our protagonist, with an essential design, simple yet effective.
PROPS
Trinkets and baubles, you name it and he's ready to seal. The props are designed by Chiara Ciarapica, Eliana De Bellis e Manuela Stacca.
STORYBOARD
If the map will bring you to a treasure, the storyboard sure leads us to the animation. A Pirate Day storyboard was designed and cured by Andromeda Pintus.
