The Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" 

Here I present my personal project created during the photorealism module at Skyup, based on a photo taken from an article from Ian McCollum's forgotten weapon site.

This project was a series of firsts for me: my first time modeling without a tutorial, my first hard surface model, my first experience with UV mapping, and my first time creating textures. It was a significant challenge as I had to learn how to use the necessary software (Maya and Substance Painter) from scratch, and overcome various difficulties and unforeseen events along the way.
