My final assignment of my 2nd year at The Animation School was to animate a character that I had developed over the course of the year.
Final Assignment of my 2nd Year at the Animation School.
During my 2nd year of studying 3D animation, I had to create an original character. I designed the character to be a formula 1 driver during the 1970's a sport I enjoy watching. I designed the character, modeled and rigged him during the course of the year. My Final Assignment was to animate him.
Theo "Thunder" Mcking
My Character's name is Theo but over the course of the year he was given the nickname "Thunder Mcking" by my friends as a nod to Lightening McQueen from the movie Cars. He has an extremely cocky yet laid-back attitude and personality that I found very fun to animate. The idea for him was that the racing he does is extremely demanding and would put most people under a lot of pressure, but he remains unfazed by anything that happens.

Environment
For the final animation of my character, I had to create and place him in an environment. I chose to put him in his garage where he stores all the trophies he has won, his car and other items. I then added textures and lights to the environment before moving on to compositing.
