FIRST TIME IS A CHARM

Hello, my name is Marta, and I am a first-year student studying Design, Animation, and Digital Art at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Where I discovered the fascinating world of 3D modeling. It was then that I realized my dream of working in 3D modeling.

LOW-POLY SCENE

This was the first 3D model I created for the Introduction to 3D Modeling course. The assignment was to create a scene with a free theme, but it had to be low-poly. I chose a nature scene because I love the mountains, and I used colored lights to create a somewhat psychedelic and relaxing atmosphere.

POKÉMON SQUIRLTE – ROBOT

This exercise was part of my introductory 3D modeling course in my first year of college. The task was to recreate a simple Pokémon in two versions: classic and robot. I chose Squirtle and aimed to give it a special touch, making it recognizable as Squirtle but with its own personality and a slightly unsettling look. I enjoy adding a psychedelic and dreamlike touch to my personal creations.

CARTOON HOUSE

This was my first 3D house model using Maya and Adobe Substance, created during the Fundamentals of Production course at Animum School. I made three versions of the house: daytime, dusk, and nighttime.

IT RAINS

This was my first character model in 3D, created before I started university. The character is from a story I wrote but never published, titled "Plou i no fa sol" (It Rains and It Is Not Sunny). The story is a journey through fantastical, psychedelic landscapes filled with dreamlike scenes, reflecting on life and death. Even when it rains and there is no sun, the world keeps turning, and we cherish the memories of those we have lost.

WEAPONS

For this project in my introductory 3D course, I created a set of freestyle weapons, combining them with brown fabrics and similar shapes. The bow, for instance, has a brush tip, linking it to the world of art.

SCENARIOS

This lighting project involved taking a real photograph of an interior space and to recreate the same lighting in CGI. Although modeling wasn't required, I created simple models to better achieve the desired lighting effects.

KAYA

Lastly, I present my first character design. While it isn't 3D modeled yet, it showcases my personal drawing style and represents me well. Kaya is a character surrounded by nature, with leaves sprouting from her skin. She can travel through time and lives in a world full of fantastical creatures, spreading her cries beyond the stars.
