The characters went through a lot of different visual changes, however, the biggest challenge was getting the 3D models to be as appealing as the drawings. Above is the process work starting with the idea of Toni, to the 2D rendering, to the finished model of Toni Rigatoni.

A big love of mine is visual development and it was a joy to figure out the world in which these pastas would live. It went through a lot of different iterations, going from a 100% pasta-fied environment to 100% Italy-based. In the end, it landed somewhere in the middle - still whimsical but based in reality.
