The Bodyguard - Character Design Assignement

Character Design school project. --- I had to design the bodyguard of a game anatagonist, that could use various weapons. The brief precised that he had to be massive and slow as a tank-class character. --- Here I specify my workflow for this project

I start my workflow with silhouette sketches, in order to find interesting shapes. Then, I sart to sketch inside the shape I've found, elaborating in some details of the character. At this point I allow myself to try different variations to find what fits best. I finish this step with quick color try.
Using the color sketch I begin searching for different weapons, as the brief specifies that this character can use various weapons. I try different iterations of melee and shooting weapons, as well as different head pieces.
Finally, here are 4 color test. Those color tests where made directly on the previous black and white version in order to keep the values consistent.

I then finally polish the selected version, and sketch a back view
