Spooky 90s Bedroom

The scene: It’s early in the morning in a suburban American house, sometime in the 1990’s. A kid’s bedroom is left vacant. Someone clearly uses this room daily, but they have mysteriously vanished from the scene. The props in the room allude to possible explanations for the kid’s sudden disappearance, hinting at aliens or ghosts, but the truth remains unknown. 

Process: I modeled and textured every element in this scene entirely using Maya, Houdini, and Substance Painter. For the shoes, I used photogrammetry in Substance Sampler. The scene was lit and rendered in Unreal Engine 5. The VFX for the lava lamp and the dust particle effect was done in Unreal Engine 5 as well. This is a game-ready environment.
