OLD STREET - DARIYAPUR

Presenting my First Real Time Environment made in Unreal Engine. This is my Intermediate term project made in 4-5 weeks at Think Tank.

I got the base inspiration of this scene from a Concept art ‘Old Ally’ by ‘Jaeger Anthony’.

Additional references for this projects were taken from Old Gujarati Polls (A ‘Poll’ is a local Gujarati word used to describe a very Dense Residential area with narrow streets going around)

Here I used Maya for Modeling, Substance Painter and Designer for Texturing, Marvelous Designer for Cloth Simulations and Unreal Engine for Real Time Rendering.

As this is a fully Modular Project, it is very flexible to change the layout of the scene and have multiple variations of the scene.

Modularity here includes all the wall elements as well as door and window frames and their connecting elements.

Further, using Vertex painting, we can have more complexity and uniqueness to all the modules.

I wanted to have custom foliage in this scene. Making foliage was a pretty straightforward process of Using Maya to make the base high poly mesh for Leaves and Stems - Importing to Substance Painter to bake and texture the foliage - Importing it back to Maya and make clumps of foliage - Import to Unreal to be finally placed into the scene.

The base Decal materials were made in Substance Designer. Other decal texture properties were directly setup in Unreal Engine through Instances and Master Materials.

Splines gave me a lot of flexibility in adding all the Cables and Pipes. It is also a kind of modular approach which can provide additional life and density to the scene.

This project features Unique and Tileabel materials made in Substance Painter and Substance Designer respectively. All the unique props and individual assets were made in Painter while all the textures for modular elements and textures to be used in Vertex Painting were made in Substance Designer.

All the Fabrics and Their Animations were made in Marvelous Designer.

I used very basic particle systems to add more life and movement to the scene. Particles were mainly used for Blowing Leaves, Smoke and Rain.

PREOCCUPIED WITH THOUGHTS

This was my Foundation Term project at Think Tank.

I loved the storytelling elements of this scene - A woman in a Victorian Room, looking outside of a window, thinking of something.

This project is based on the concept art ‘MCMII - Awaiting’ by ‘Mikael Javaid-Camua

Here I used Maya for modeling, Substance Painter for Baking and Texturing, Marvelous Designer for Cloth Simulations and Blender for Rendering.
As this was not a real time render, I was able to do Compositing through software like Nuke.

SOME GUNS

Presenting my Hero Prop project completed at Think Tank. Started as a standalone hero prop, ended up with two variations of the main prop and one side prop. This project includes a main Rifle with its secondary version and a handgun.
Here I used Maya for Modeling, Substance Painter for Texturing and Marmoset Toolbag for Rendering
