“Prey for Mantis” is a collection that follows the story of Sylvia Venosa, a 1950’s housewife with a sinister secret up her sleeve… This collection depicts Sylvia's transformation from woman to murderous praying mantis.

My collection uses window screen as a main fabric for my physical garments as a way to provide structure and to tie in my concept. With CLO3D I was able to digitally recreate this fabric.

My polyhedron pants were the biggest technical challenge I had to face. It was the first time I illustrated a garment without having in mind how to pattern it.  A large part of the process was doing research into geometrical shapes until I settled on the polyhedron.

As someone who loves the technical side of fashion, I wanted to learn how to make challenging structural garments.

A large part of my collection is based on incorporating polyhedra into pattern cutting. Geometry heavily influences pattern cutting, so why not push those limits by creating new, unique structures?

lots of trial and error was done in both the digital space and using real fabrics to see if these structures would be able to support themselves physically .

Although clo3d is not intended for this, I was able to create a set using fabrics and other digital assets from Adobe's 3d library. I plan to learn how to use other software's like Blender or Unreal Engine in the future to further enhance my renderings.

Ai is both widely used and controversial in many different industries despite it being so new. I decided to experiment with  Ai  enhance a few of my CLO3D images using the program krea.ai. All images that were enhanced with Ai are clearly marked with a label in the bottom corner, I decided to include my original renders next to most of my images as a way to display how using Ai not to create, but to enhance artwork can be helpful in fast paced industries like fashion.
