A Samantha - FX Demo reel 2024

We will start with our last school project ! Harmonic, which took us 5 month.
I was working mostly on wind related FX and one of my biggest challenge, the harpies ! Cruel creatures made of smoke and darkness disrupting the harmony and peace with their dissonance.

As the harpies are made of smoke and darkness it was kind of hard to picture it and most of all add the dissonance part on the fx as well. 
So I did some personal research and sketch with the help of the concept artist in charge of the FX and the fellow Tech FX with me on this project ! It was really enriching ! 
As in ancient Greece they did not write music with staffs, so we used their symbol to write music ! You can see them in most of our FX : the harpies, water, wind, fire, everything that makes a sound !

Daphne's Curse was our first group project of this year, we made it in 3 month.
It's a project inspired by the greek mythology, mostly the mythh of Apollo and the river nymph, Daphne.
