Most sockeye salmon migrate from their native spawning grounds in freshwater to ocean after adolescence. They return to their homes only to spawn, where they then “spawn out” [die]. Only about 4 out of 4000 salmon make the several-thousand kilometer journey back. This story is about them, and the cycle of life.
