Missing Home - Short 2D Animation by Leon Noah Hariyanto

This short animation clip was inspired by my dad, who arrives at the hospital very early in the morning and comes home the next morning, so he hardly spends time at home with my mom and I. I notice that my dad loves and really cares for me even though he doesn't say it, but he always gives me the best gifts he has and wants the best for me. In this project, I really tried to capture what he feels every time he is at work. I added a small comedy to end the animation since a lot of times when I see him, he makes silly little mistakes. 

The background was inspired by his office, which he once took me there to show what he does and experience what a surgical operation looks like. I added a coffee machine which I always see in his office, and a picture of a fish, because he likes to go fishing with his colleges during holidays. I also see him studying with pen, paper, and a book he always has opened.
