"It is not every evening that I love you."
How much I love you. The night is moist. The air is still, as when I love you. Your voice is water open beneath stars, collected from abundant rain, gone to low places.
This is my very first project on exploring how to create some moody and foggy stuffs. The layout and lightings are inspired by references I found on Pinterest. While doing research online, I came across a poem from Robert Bly's ———‘Seeing You Carry Plants In’ that matched my work, so I combined them into a outcomes a full CG short reel using Houdini.
Shot 1& 2--- I created a bumpy ground using the mountain node. Then I scattered 2 types of plant assets on top of it. The animations of the plants are done procedurally in VOP nodes. The fog I created using cloud note.
Shot 3--- I render a window frame, and the raindrops I using footage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuOJNxyZsMI&t=1s) to comp.
Shot 4--- This shot I created a ripple scene to correspond to the poem. Using shot 5 as the water reflection and point VOP to create the ripples.
Shot 5--- This shot I using footage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dqEkeFb8Q0)to comp the fog.
Shot 6--- This shot is my favourite shot in this short reel. The fog in this shot I created also using cloud note.
