Hello everyone this is a personal project I created starting from a concept made by Augustin Marceillac. I have to say huge thanks to: Diego Miranda Garcia for the creation of the textures; Cüneyt Güçlü for helping me with the rig Giovanni Battistin for music and sound design

Round of applause for our sponsors

I am excited to present my latest 3D character art project, Dr. Zard. This character is the culmination of my skills and dedication to the craft of 3D art.

This project has been a journey of creativity and technical skill, and I am thrilled to share the result with you. I hope you find it as captivating as I have found the process of creating it.

Starting from Augustin Marceillac's concept (link below), I sculpted the character using ZBrush, trying to achieve a high level of detail.

After the modeling phase, I used Maya for the retopology and later for the rig, ensuring that the character has a versatile and lifelike range of motion. In the meantime, Diego Miranda Garcia approached the texturing process using Substance Painter, which allowed him to add rich and nuanced textures.

After the rigging process, I started doing some animation to bring the character to life.

Finally, I used Unreal Engine 5 for rendering, creating high-quality visuals. I set up the scene, shaders, and camera movement to create the final video.

When all the shots were ready, I brought them into Davinci Resolve for some compositing work, and that's the result.

It's been a long journey, and I'm pretty proud of myself. I have to thank a few people who helped me with this project:
