My Growth As A 3D Artist

Marie CORNEMILLOT
by harmlessNgon on 30 May 2024 for Rookie Awards 2024

As a 3rd year ESMA student focused on 3D Modeling and LookDev, here are a few projects I worked on during the year 2023-2024. Putting it next to the demo reel I made to get into school reminded me that I am, in fact, moving forward in my artistic journey !

                            Progress !

I often feel like I am not moving forward in my art journey, but when I recently rediscovered my old demoreel, I realized I already had come a long way. It does feel good to see that all of my efforts do pay off, even if I don't always realize it. I made this demoreel to get into school, when I just started 3D modeling in Blender 4 years ago. What began as a hobby quickly turned into an obsession, ultimately driving me to pursue a career as a 3D artist. However, an online test once suggested I should be a yoga teacher so I guess I have a backup plan if this all goes south !

Here is my first ever demo reel, made in 2020. I had just started to learn how to use the softwares and was having a ton on fun exploring them :

Even if I am not always happy with the results of my work, I made a big amount of progress, that I would like to share with you. So here is what I achieved this year !

            My work in 2023 - 2024

SPEED SCULPTS
