Flamenco dress kimono version

I decided to design this flamenco dress during the fair season in my native Andalusia.

It is a regional costume of Andalusian folklore, fused with a kimono. It is a dress that adapts to the shape of the body, stylizing it, decorating it with frills or faralaes.

For the design of my dress I started by looking for trends in flamenco fashion this season, such as big sleeves and bright colours.

For the 3D creation I have used Style3D both for the modelling of clothes and for their texturing.

Except for the earrings that have been created in Blender!

I started with the skirt of the dress, creating a knee-length pencil skirt so I could add ruffles all the way to the floor! I loved adding the diagonal ruffle, I think it gives the design some dynamism.

There are two fabrics in this design with different prints, one more oriental to follow the kimono style and the other with polka dots to keep the flamenco style.

I continued with the top of the suit which has a kimono pattern (I love it!). This, like the skirt, has two types of fabrics with the same purpose except for the collar, which has another fabric to match the ruffle trims.

For the waist of the costume I used the mantoncillo typical of flamenco dresses but changing its traditional place (over the shoulders) for that of the obi of the kimono (around the waist) taking the liberty of changing the traditional shape.
