The Unlimited Power of Imagination

Through these projects I not only learned many aspects of Archviz such as 3D modeling, rendering, composition and materials but also the skill to imagine and create whatever is that we can image and dream. Here is a little piece of me and things I had in my mind through this last year.

THE CABIN OF MY DREAMS

A few years ago I joined the architecture industry and fall in love with the art and visualization boards. However, it wasn't until recently that I been dedicated to study architectural visualization as part of my work flow.

Here in South Carolina there are many touristic places but one that caught my attention was the A-frame house experience. Since, then sometimes I look at Airbnbs to see if I can book an experience in a house like that. One day I would love to own an A-frame home. Here are a few thing that I think my dream A-frame home should have.

1. In Nature

2. Big enough for a little living room and a kitchen

3. Be next to a lake and a beautiful view

4. Full of light and appealing to the eye from far away.

Tools I used and lessons learned:

3Ds Max: I had to be strategic of the model in Max and only model the cabin with a few quixel elements and materials.

Unreal engine: Fist time using unreal was challenging and yet awesome to see the rending in real-time. Composition was important so had to learn about cameras, site and foliage.

Some difficulties I encountered was learning about environment, asset optimization and camera scene settings. However, the process was easier than expected and found it more user-friendly than previous rendering software such as V-ray.

LEARNING CAMERA AND COMPOSITION IN UNREAL ENGINE

Something I just start learning is how to use the camera and even though is not perfect, I love that I can improve and focus more and more in composition and understanding more animation, photography and art.

A PAVILION IN THE ARTIC

Following a sci-fi and incredible structures I designed a pavilion and decide to incorporated with a sci-fi environment. Since I recently came from Sweden the first thing that came to my mind was the northern lights.

Had many difficulties with the environment and the snow but luckily I was able to figure out and learn matte painting and a little of post-production. So did a lot of testing and trials.

Through this journey I have learn a fraction of what Architecture Visualization is and excited for the future and the many other things I can learn and keep improving.
