1 jour, 1 pays avec Zack et Gaby (1 day, 1 country with Zack and Gaby)

Idea

For my end of year project, I worked for 8 months on creating a project to encourage children in France to learn foreign languages. In France, at primary school, the average is one and a half hours a week, which is very little time to learn a new language. With this in mind, I asked myself, what immersive solutions could I offer children aged 6 to 8 to complement their foreign language learning during extra-curricular time?

Concept

"1 jour, 1 pays avec Zack et Gaby" (which can be translated as "1 day, 1 country with Zack and Gaby") is a collection of bilingual books in which, in each volume, children discover a typical day in a foreign country, with all that this implies: the language, the traditions and the culture of the country. In addition to the books, there is an application where children can listen to the story, to immerse themselves in the sounds of the language in question. There are lots of activities associated with each volume, including quizzes, recipes and cultural facts, to immerse children in the culture of the country.
