Whimsical Creature
In my exploration of creature design, I received an artistic assignment to craft a fantasy creature in the style of Jim Henson, with a family-friendly 80s vibe. I utilised ZBrush for the creation process, incorporating Photoshop to paint the fur and design the environment background.

My Process
I began by creating a low poly sculpt using dynamesh to establish primary forms. After completing the primary forms, I incorporated secondary forms and applied polypaint to envision the creature's appearance. Utilizing ZBrush, I rendered the sculpt, saving various files such as BPR, mask, depth, specular, and rim light for compilation in Photoshop. Subsequently, I conducted a paint-over with six different versions, selecting the preferred direction. Moving forward, I finalised the piece in Photoshop, integrating a background, applying filters, and ultimately blurring it to accentuate the whimsical creature as the main focus.
