Chess Queen
Through a dynamic video, I aimed to redefine women's chess as a fierce battle for dominance, appealing to a broad audience from high schoolers to women in their late thirties. We convey chess as more than just a mental game, but also an exhilarating clash of power and strategy.
Chess has long been recognized as a game where two individuals engage in a battle of intellect. As the game progresses, tension mounts, and chess pieces move systematically and strategically according to the rules. Additionally, chess effectively depicts a competitive society. Humans always strive for victory in life. A showdown between queens and chess pieces vividly illustrates how individuals compete for success. I have discovered the St. Louis Chess Club and the US Women's Chess Championship. I've created a commercial video for the St. Louis Chess Club and the US Women's Chess Championship. It's a tale of two women unfolding their chess prowess on the same board.
This story depicts two queens facing each other in tension, expressing their minds through elegant ballet and waltz to the flowing music. They are dressed tightly, inspired by Catwoman from Batman. The chess pieces below the queens appear as a female army, blending graceful ballet movements with the stiffness of soldiers. This conveys a strong aesthetic sense while portraying the power and elegance of women, juxtaposed with the conflict between war and peace.
